voyager has a great ui. Only bad thing was it felt a bit junky before official play store release of the app but now it feels great. Just wish it would have a option to downlaod images.
I haven’t tried the store release, but an issue I had with the PWA was that it was too laggy if you scrolled a lot. It also occasionally jumped around and would make you lose your place if you visited a community, changed the sorting mode, and then went back to your homepage.
It should be more consistent with the Play Store version.
I had the same problems with the Web app but haven’t had them since the store release.

I was a user of RiF, RedReader and Infinity. Infinity when it gets out of alpha, is going to be insane.
Sync was not even close to these, and I hated the v20 fat Material UI look, stuck to v18 till it stopped working.

I need a client that automatically marks as read as you scroll by. And it doesn’t bring back the read threads every time you reopen or refresh the god damn app.
Most of the clients I’ve used could do that (Connect, Voyager, Sync). You just have to go and look through the settings. Also the Lemmy web UI can hide read posts too. Just go to your account settings and untick the “show read posts” option

Sync and Connect are the two apps I’ve used and both have the capability of doing this. Let me know if you need help finding the settings.
Infinity is better, free and open source with zero tracking.
When you refresh the feed, the hidden posts come back in both these apps.

I’ve tried Connect and it failes to save imagesfor me. So maybe some incompatibility or something, but now I’m trying to live with Liftoff
I dunno, Connect was the one I probably liked the least out of the 1.34 million I tried.
With how long it’s taking to have something to download, Boost is either gonna be left behind or will be the best app ever that was worth the wait.
Anyone who has used liftoff, what’s the difference really with sync? I tried sync but couldn’t really tell a difference.

Show me a foss client which shows community suggestions in the search bar when you start typing and auto collapsing comments features. Otherwise you can’t change my mind.
