Ooh I have diabetes! What a wonderful bonus tax we get to pay each year to do frivolous things like eating.
I wonder how many awesome things the world has missed out on because people with chronic illnesses must have good insurance or do poverty wage jobs to get Medicaid.
It kind of boils down to: do i deserve to live or not? If so, why do I have to outperform everyone just to make a wage I can afford to live one? Some people’s deductibles are like grand. Some people’s out of pocket max is like 10k. (Out of pocket max is the point where insurance covers 100% of prescriptions. Insulin and supplies can be like 1k/month)
Medicare just implemented (on 7/1/23) a $35 cap per month on insulin when used with a pump. I work on the DME side so that’s why I’m only familiar with the new policy regarding the pumps. Are no other routes of administration or insurance types seeing these changes?
