I am a library aid for my highschool, these books were once taken off the shelves and legally banned.
However due to many authors and publishers threatening to sue (and some actually following through), 36 of the 176 books banned have returned.
Hope it continues. And sorry if this breaks the politics rule even if it doesn’t show a politician.
Let’s hope the other 140 authors also threaten to sue!
Maybe write an anonymous tip to those authors to let them know what’s up
Do you have the gay propaganda book about the penguins
/s if it wasn’t obvious
If not, I’ll buy your library one!
No

if it wasn’t obvious.I’ll buy your library ten books. You pick. Multiples of the same book or one each of particular books. Lemme know.
Please don’t choose to use this to ask for prohibitively expensive books.
If this is political, so is everything else-- people politicize everything lately, much to the detriment of the kids. In this case, all I see are some lovely books going back on the shelves, hopefully accompanied by more to come. Thanks for sharing!
I’m sorry you have to deal with this kind of BS where you live, OP.
Damn that sucks but glad things are moving in the right direction! What country had these banned?
Looking at the language and plug socket I would guess USA
Florida, USA. #1 on banned books in the nation.
land of the free
I see no list just a photo with nothing. Is the op serious?
This sub is called pics, not lists. I think it is tastefully done OP 🥇
I am serious, i’m not the school librarian myself. I’m just the assistant who gets to have a semi-free period in my senior year. She had all the banned books out away in a box that she then scanned and put to the side for me to put on the book cart then back on the shelves.
But yeah we definitely didn’t have all 33 books lol
So give me the list of the titles because it even doesn’t sound plausible
I see a stack of books. Check with a different client maybe? Or a different network?
Do you see 130+ titles? I see only one maybe two
36 are apparently returning.
I think the point is, it would be nice to know which books are being put back up (seems like a pretty basic thing if you’re going to make a post like this) but OP made it about as hard as possible to see any but 1-2
