And then removed at some point, I guess.
Thanks for that deep dive! Glad to not be hallucinating.

Sneaking all around the fediverse.

Huh. Yeah, I can’t find it either. I guess it’s been removed. Or maybe I hallucinated it? Spooky.
Scroll the local feed. Search hashtags and follow hashtags you’re interested in. As with Mastodon, your home feed will be empty until you follow people.
It just depends on how you want to use your account. I can see wanting to follow PeerTube or Loops accounts from Pixelfed. I follow a few Mastodon users who just post photos.
The default behaviour is to only show content with attached media but you can change that in settings too. So you can use it as a microblogging service if you just like the look and feel of Pixelfed.
Edit: striking out the falseness
That number has to be low. There’s been nearly 200k new signups in the last few days. Pixelfed’s blowing up right now. The local feed on p.s is a never-ending stream of first posts.
There isn’t, unfortunately. Global shows you all of the Fediverse, not just Pixelfed. A global pixelfed feed was a planned feature at one point but I’m not sure of its status.
For now, it’s really hard to find pixelfed users on other servers because they get drowned out by all the Mastodon traffic.
The grant he’s receiving to develop it requires it to be open source.

Overall, we rate The Jewish Voice (TJV) as right-biased and Questionable based on the promotion of right-wing propaganda, pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, poor sources, and several examples of false or misleading claims.
Nah. Even Bobandy isn’t greasy enough to take a role in that cabinet.
Founded in 1988, Arutz Sheva (Channel 7), also known in English as Israel National News, is an Israeli media network identifying with Religious Zionism.
Editorially, they promote a strong pro-Israeli Zionist bias. Further, they report favorably on Prime Minister Netanyahu; Netanyahu sounds off on Bennett: ‘Too soft on Iran’. Finally, Arutz Sheva was found by Reuters to have used a deepfake photo for one of their journalists.
I think we’re only accepting goose enthusiast youtube refugees right now but, what the hell, you seem like a good egg - I’ll check with the king!
Bummer. Still working in Canada, if you want to move here…
I don’t think they had much of choice. Most people are just doing whatever they can to not be imprisoned, tortured, or murdered. A policy of killing anyone not killed by the previous regime wouldn’t be great for hearts and minds either.
For real.
It’s got to be crazy corruption from Lopez Obrador too though. The cartels have killed around 180 000 people since he took office and he’s asking them to ‘act responsibly’ and chiding people for demonizing them.
In what universe? It’s reporting based on dozens of interviews.
hi how are you
According to the joint statement, they will now “be taking immediate steps to cancel bilateral air services agreements with Iran,” and work towards sanctioning Iran Air, the country’s flag carrier.
“Entities and individuals involved with Iran’s ballistic missile program and the transfer of ballistic missiles and other weapons to Russia” will also face sanctions.
. . .
The U.K. released a statement detailing which Iranian individuals and organizations had been sanctioned by both London and Washington.
These include Brigadier General Seyed Hamzeh Ghalandari, the Iranian Defense Ministry’s director general for international relations, Second Brigadier General Ali Jafarabadi, the head of the Space Command of Iran’s Aerospace Force, and Majid Mousavi, Deputy Commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
The U.K. also announced sanctions on five Russian cargo ships “for their role in transporting military supplies from Iran to Russia.”
This paper has a sketchy history. It’s based in Moscow and not listed as a foreign agent. openDemocracy reports here on their history of publishing pro-Kremlin, pro-Putin nonsense. When 5 senior editors quit in response and started another paper, they were immediately labelled “foreign agents”. This is propaganda. Check this uncritical trash about teaching students “media literacy” by depending on the state propaganda network:
The main meaning of the classes is to introduce schoolchildren to TASS as the main state news agency of the country, a source of reliable information about Russia and the world, follows from the scenarios of the classes. The Agency sets itself the task of “protecting the informational boundaries of the country and the truth, which is very often tried and trying to take away,” said Andrei Kondrashov, TASS Director General. In order to become a journalist, it is necessary to “Homeland to love” and be inquisitive, he concluded. (autotranslated)
I’m not sure. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Lemmy post there, though I haven’t spent a ton of time on that TL. It might be different because all Lemmy posts are posted to groups which aren’t supported by Pixelfed yet. That’s just a guess though.
