i tried 5 different docks, its not the dock…

all those variables work fine with any other laptopt, the macbook is the variable here.

They are telling you not to use ANY dock. Connect the cable to the monitor.

My Macbook drives a 144hz 4K display, so your issue is not your Mac unless you have an Intel based Mac.

Likely it is either the cable or user error.

This MacBook has 4 tpye c ports and that’s it. So you need some kind of adapter,no way around it. I tried and the results are the same.

You only need a thunderbolt 4 to displayport cable. No dock needed. Most docks are USB-C based (unless you buy a thunderbolt dock) don’t support higher resolutions and may or may not support proper refresh rates.

Have you tried a direct USB-C to DisplayPort adapter or cable (not a dock)?

Weird, that seems to unusual based on people’s responses here and my quick Google.

I think it’s still solvable, in addition to the docks, there must be a cable or adapter that is causing the issue.

You can get both HDMI cables and DisplayPort cables that are USB C on the other end. These will plug directly into the USB C ports on the laptop without any docks or adapters involved.
