Mitch McConnell, 81 year old US Senate minority leader, stopped mid sentence and stared out into space before being escorted away during a recent press conference. Video
Imagine not wanting to retire when you clearly have a shit tonne of money and could live a very comfortable and happy retirement. He probably could have retired like 40 years ago too. I don’t get it.

Hey, this is the first time in a decade I see a website that knows what <noscript> is!
Trigger warning: extreme nerding
(edit: that’s a lie, my university’s on-line didactic portal has done it for at least 2 years and it’s hardly a coincidence that it has a C.S. faculty - which I’m a part of. I need a life ffs)

Man it’s fucking nuts that an 81 year old has this job
Calling it a job is kind of a stretch
Lmao good point

Power. It’s all about power. Those who have it never give it up voluntarily.
Yeah that is the only explanation but it’s just an obsession at that point… Keeping power to the literal death sounds like mental illness to me.
It’s a very human trait, unfortunately. That’s why democratic control over any sort of power is the only way to improve society.
This is the only logical explanation. Which makes them exactly the kind of people you don’t want to have in power.
He just needed a reboot, damn blue screens.
