Who is “they”? Because Afghan women sure as hell didn’t choose this.
Every Afghan who sheltered and supported Taliban or did not fight them on their way to Kabul. Including women. If not fighting (which they could) they could have at least motivate their men or sons…or given intel. They didn’t. A small minority did -to be fair- but the majority didn’t.
