when Google killed Reader (2013), a lot of people just gave up rather than moving to another reader – effectively just forgetting that RSS even exists
auto-discovery has disappeared – Chrome removed the RSS indicator when Google killed Reader, Firefox removed the RSS indicator back in 2018 – unless you have an addon or are specifically looking for an RSS link, there’s no longer any indication that RSS exists
I still haven’t found a FOSS reader that is easy to install. I hate downloading from github and messing with stuff because I’m a moron with knowing if it’s malicious or not,
Thanks, I don’t have Thunderbird but I will probably install it and check it out. I wonder why Firefox stopped showing it? It looks like they’re trying to bring it back.
Not really sure what Firefox is up to a lot of times. But the Thunderbird’s team is really active and receptive right now. They are updating and revamping a ton lately.

Those are both for Linux and I’m on windows. But thanks for the try, they both look great.
