I still stand behind it! Humor with a victim is dumb. Suffering is dumb. Watching things suffer is also dumb. I’m a blast at parties don’t worry about me…

Real humor is funny juxtaposition… like a monkey wearing a shirt on its head. Dam monkey those go on bodies but wait! Your also a monkey. Now that is peak lolz

No. It was never fun watching Larry curly or moe poke eyes out and smash heads. After watching a bunch as a kid I smacked a buddy in 2nd grade thinking it would be funny. My friend was hurt and confused and I learned humor shouldn’t have a victim.

and it is those movies that are setting expectations… just sayin… there are two wolves in you, a frontal cortex of thinking, and an animal subconscious, all content gets pushed through both and one can respond withing milaseconds to release stress hormones, the more stress you have the less your life will be. I do like gif replies though!

One time I brought a horse into a bar and they called the cops to kick me out. I can’t believe comedians didn’t warn me I wasn’t allowed to do that irl. We really do live in a society

I would say that a viewer discretion is advised, and also animals sometimes suffer for those funny videos, so it’s not like black or white

I agree on the point of suffering but only think it’s applicable to living

I see ypur view. I am saying there is no free sandbox of the mind where you can watch or think of harm with it harming you. It may be very subtle or take a long time to accumulate bit it’s effects will present themselves on all your actions.

I beleive you are what ypu consume. The animal part of our brain also sees what our logical cortex sees but doesn’t have logic or reason it just knows its okay to see something that is hurt. My opinions stem from deep Buddhist beleifs of karma or if you’d rather Hubbermans idea of a Reticular Activitng System RAS being pre loaded with content. You view a mountain stream for a day or look at slapstick for a day and put those two people down for dinner and see how different they are. Or as Rumi said WHAT YPU SEEK IS AEEKING YOU, or as common ideas have said ypu become your five closes friends, you are what you eat. The body is a collection of earth we’ve assembled the mind is a collection of experience. A mind full of slapstick will be slapstick. A mind full of peace and actual joyous humor will be peaceful and joyous.

I know this isn’t the place, which is why I deleted my "this isn’t funny " comment that spurred this. No one cares about actual spiritual growth just funny ow my balls type shit we see on that documentary Idoicracy.

did i stutter? i like deleting, i say too much at times, like this whole thread, i saw humor i thought was dumb I should have moved on. but I do enjoy dialogs with people, I’d imagine I’d have every one of these view points had I lead a similar life to the person.

Sounds edgy man, so you stand behind your words but you also like deleting them afterwards? Especially the first one, this random ass dude really took the time to explain why it’s fucking funny and you leave him hanging like that lol

cool story brah… whats it got to do with the price of eggs? Do you understand that I deleted my comment after say 5 minutes, realizing tapping on the glass at the zoo isn’t good for the animals. Yet here I am making faces at monkeys … at least were both having a blast!
