Well i am certainly not using reddit on my tablet anymore.

    Well, the official Lemmy App also requires Android 8+. Again, no support for my not so old phone…

        Might be old in modern times, but I dont want to have to buy a new phone every 5 years. Especially if it is still working very well…

        Also OP made the point that the official Reddit App requires Android 8+, so it’s the same thing

          Android 8 came out 6 years ago. And if your device is locked to Android 8 that means it probably shipped with 6 or 7 which means it’s a 7 or 8 year old phone at this point. I have trouble believing a 6-8 year old android phone is still working very well.

            You are right, it is from 2017. Beside not being able to use Android 8+ I have no issues with it

      Is there an official app for Lemmy? Jerboa is popular, but I don’t think it’s official. Connect for Lemmy supports Android 4.4+.
