      Probably by observing behaviors. I found this pretty fascinating study about maternal separation in goats, and they mention things like increased vocalization and locomotion. They also talk about measuring heart rate and cortisol saliva to assess anxiety levels.

    I’m like this with and without noise cancelling headphones. I’m on edge and aware of my surroundings versus oblivious and focused.

    Putting a duck coat on my pet goat to treat its anxiety disorder would be at least the 24th or 25th thing I would think to try. This goat got so lucky to have such intuitive owners.

      You have a very good point. Maybe they followed the wisdom of thunder shirts for dogs? They are like compressing shirt that feel like you are getting a hug, and they are calming to pups.

    This must be because it confuses the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Keeps predators off her trail. Maybe she owes someone money.
