- Long hold the Liftoff icon and select App Info
- Select Storage and Cache
- Press Clear Cache

Holy crap I have 13.23 gigs. What is stored in the cache? Do I lose anything when I clear it?
When Liftoff loads a picture or video the file has to be stored somewhere on the device for it to be displayed. All that is stored in the Liftoff cache. You should not loose data by clearing your cache as the cache is suppose to be a temporary storage location.
If you have downloaded things from lemmy via liftoff those files will be unaffected as they are stored elsewhere.
Is this an issue for the iOS app as well? I’m guessing it’s not, since mine is only using 80mb of space.
No idea, I don’t have an ios device to check against.

Does it clear the cache whenever there’s an update or something? Because mine only uses 60MB, an i never cleared it.
Maybe some optimisation by your phone? I’ve seen phones that suggest regularly cleaning unused files (xiaomi or huawei, not sure).
That might be it, I have a huawei.
