I’ll take “we were forced to publish this as written because our lawyer is a pathetic clown” for 1000.

I own a small library of switch games and with yuzu I have a way better way of playing them, what now?

They knew what they were doing, but are now acting innocent. All the thieves too cheap to buy games got mad.

Just buy the damn games or make your own

Downvoting me doesn’t make you less of a excuse-chucking thief

      Quoted for great justice.

Of course they knew what they were doing, but do you really think that this is a honest statement? They wrote this, so they don’t get into legal troubles.

Also, piracy often isn’t about the money. Often its because people don’t want to support unethical companies. Also, why should I play a game on a small screen with 40fps ,if I cab play it in 4k with 60fps on my PC, even if I have the switch.

I own a switch and bought the games for it but prefer to play on my steam deck these days so I can just have one device.

It’s sad to see it go. As a game preservationist, being able to back up and emulate your games is so important to me. Not to mention a game like TotK can’t even reach it’s full potential on a retail Switch, and Yuzu allows that game to be played in 4K at 60fps if you have the computing power to drive it. Overall, it was probably the right call for Tropic Haze to give in to Nintendo now rather than battle them (as much as I didn’t want to see Nintendo win this) because a court battle could have challenged emulation as we know it. A settlement avoids that for now. I don’t support piracy at all, but I can’t say it suprises me considering how Nintendo treats its customers and the gaming community as a whole.

Does anyone know if i need to be concerned about updating my yuzu flatpak? Apparently nintendo is taking control of all assets, and im not sure if they’ll brick the flatpak or not.
