Tell Johnson and Johnson that evergreening their patent on bedaquiline, which will deny millions of people access to live-saving treatment, is a violation of their corporate credo: https://secure.ethicspoint.com/domain/media/en/gui/28704/report.html

And tell them wherever else you can. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell the Internet. This must not be allowed to happen.
Multidrug resistant tuberculosis is a growing threat, and bedaquiline is essential to curing it. Generic bedaquiline will drive down the cost of the drug by over 60%, allowing far more communities to access and distribute treatment. Evergreening the patent will cost so many lives over the next four years, which Johnson & Johnson knows. They must drop their efforts to enforce the secondary patents. Thank you for joining in this fight. -John Green
This is the company that proved in the 70s that not only does talcum powder contain asbestos, but talc itself is carcinogenic.
They continued using talc long after other companies switched ingredients, and maintain in court to this day that it’s safe, despite their own studies and memos showing it’s poison.
Johnson and Johnson spent 50 years deliberately killing mothers and dooming children to cancer. They’re happy to kill people for profit.
I’m just waiting for capitalism to end life on earth as we know it. We are getting there. I’d give it another 50 years max.
i’m waiting for the global socialist uprising, but hey you do you
That’s a bonus if it ever happens. I’ll take it. 🤞
Naw, it’ll be our grandkids.
Isn’t that about 50 years? unless your grandkids are already born.
My oldest is 9, so you’re right. Lol
Life… Uh… Finds a way
John Green truly is a treasure. As usual, there is no such thing as a moral corporation
And if there ever was one it sure as hell isn’t Johnson and “we put asbestos in baby powder” Johnson.
