So person 1 asks for help, person 2 tries to help and you, person 3, keep being a dick.

And now you even bitch about it a week later.

Seems to me that you’re the snowflake here.

You were being a dick, but also yes, this is totally a network of snowlakes.

If I were a mod in that forum and someone reported you, I’d tell you to chill down. I’d like to think that we can coexist even if some of us are coarse with language and others cry if someone looks at them wrong.

centralized networks popularized the idea of mods just doing these kinds of things sadly. on the old forums it was pretty common for a mod to post something as a warning, even just a simple pair of eyes.

mods will pitch it as a way to save time, not sure if making ban the “go-to” option is a great idea.

To be fair, if enough snowflakes have a meltdown, you get a snowlake.

Coarse language and abrasivness are not the end of the world as long as you are adding to the conversation. OP literally added nothing except for general dickishness.

    You have a few choices:

    1. You can join other instances
    2. Don’t be a dick
    3. Keep doing what you’re already doing and just whine more.

    In short

“I’m just being honest!” types are always the most emotionally sensitive. I’ve gotten banned from various social media tons of times for getting too heated (my router should also probably have a breathalyzer).

The emotionally mature response is “oh. Yeah. That was a dick move. I’m gonna go chill somewhere and do my best to forget about all of this” and NOT “BuT i HaVe A rIgHt To Be An AsShOlE tHo.”

Soon as anyone shows any “brutal honesty” to them they’re the first ones to leave the party. Oh they’ll act tough and say “nu uh” but they’ll sulk in the corner wondering why no one wants to talk to them
