Paris Saint-Germain feel Kylian Mbappé wants to leave for free in 2024 — he did not communicate anything yet despite Al Khelaifi’s public statement.

PSG decided to EXCLUDE Kylian from Japan tournée.

A pretty strong statement to exclude him from the preseason tour.

Edit: from reading a bit more, PSG have royally fucked this up. They’ve allowed Mbappe to cash in massively on both PSG wages and RM signing bonus and there’s nothing they can do other than bench him.

Very few teams will be able to afford him, and even fewer can afford that type of fee. PSG really screwed themselves and they have absolutely no leverage in this situation.

Mbappe is going to RM for free, and PSG can throw whatever fit they want but the facts will always remain the same. They turned down 200m, they gave him a 2 yr contract, and now they are acting like brats now that he wants to leave.

PSG won’t learn from this, will throw around even more money, then will be surprised when their mercenaries show no loyalty, again.

I’ve read a few stories about PSG finally doing something about player power. Whether its true or not is difficult to say at the moment as the Mbappe case is an outlier.

Once some player turnover occurs there’s a good chance the club will just become a mess again.

Player turnover has already largely started and it’s too early to say how it’s going.

The real issue is that the decision process at PSG is irrational and emotive.
