I remember Kamala making a very specific concrete proposal. She said she would support the bill that Trump killed a couple months back.

Meanwhile the other guy said he had concepts of a plan. Sounds totally equivalent. /s

Yeah. The far-right border bill that aided in the demonization of immigrants we’re seeing today. The fact that so many democrats attached their name to it only served to launder the right’s racist fear-mongering about immigrants.

Fuck that bill. It’s bad policy and bad politics.

And then when the moderators asked Trump why he killed that bill, he decided not to answer and ranted for a few minutes instead

Immigration will continue as long as there is a increased wages pressuring your owners.

And even then, it would just drop to pre-covid level. No nobody will fix any of the underlying issues related to excess immigration, no housing, no healthcare, no education.

Do you really expect people profiting from this to have to pay for any of this?

They will keep bussing migrants to where the “jobs” are at. They won’t fix “illegal” issue since it helps to devalue the bottom of the income scale into sub-subsistence.

People keep doing this left-right circle jerk but policy has not practically changed since NAFTA got done. The only major change in policy is the covid hike, when number spiked but stayed at 3m per year for last few years. This sort of thing tells they know what they are doing, and they can regulate it.

What we see is THE POLICY of the US government.
