  • This is one of the reasons I left Reddit. Sure everyone needs to be paid for their work but it gets a little more suspect when I donate my time and attention, and it is monetized, and I still have to deal with too many ads

And someone who does NOT deserve to be paid is the “journalist” who writes those articles “LoveBunny68 on social media site Reddit said ….”. I guess I hope that is some sort of automation because no one deserves to be paid for that and I imagine an actual writer ready to commit suicide if stuck writing those

  • Maybe you’re right but too many of us think the opposite. I would much rather a younger more progressive candidate but Joe Biden has a track record of beating Trump. Biden has done a lot of good things in his first term that I’d want to continue. Even where he hasn’t gone nearly far enough or balanced bad with good, it may be necessary to appeal to the undecideds in the middle. Biden is the only one who can overcome the Trump personality cult

If a big complaint is age, how is that a plus for Sanders? I’m sorry but he missed his chance and now is solidly in “too old for this shit” territory

  • Nice. Where do you get one of those for a reasonable price these days?

My first dog, I got exactly that for $4 from a grocery store as a seasonal thing

However, after our second dog was a fiasco, I got rid of that since we weren’t getting another dog.

Now our third dog has not been swimming. She’s a rescue who still reacts against other dogs so we can’t bring her to a lake or dog park. I want one of these pools again to see if she’d take to it, but she doesn’t like to get wet so odds are not in my favor. I think the same pool was $28 last time I saw one, and I’m not interested in throwing away that much money. Almost all “baby pools” I see now are inflatable, which wouldn’t survive a dogs first use. So are there really no cheap plastic pools anymore?

  • The article is missing too many details:

    • Why pigs? I thought by far the biggest offender were ruminants
    • The article says “cows and pigs” but how does it apply to similar animals? I’ve recently had bison and elk but there are more? Or are they enough of an edge case to not worry about it.
    • There are additives to cattle feed that reduce methane emissions: does the tax make any adjustment to encourage that?

  • Do you think some kids are going to be able to buy the support of politicians by outbidding the oil companies?

Politicians care about votes, money is just an easy way to get them. No, a bunch of kids by themselves brings nothing to the table. A bunch of extremists probably never gets to the table. Do you know what’s the only thing that may outrank those corporate interests? Votes. If you bring votes to the table they don’t even have to buy, you’ll get a response

Notice what’s being discussed here. You claim this type of action gets people talking but no one here is discussing their cause nor supporting it
