Fair enough. I’m raising my kids in a similar fashion. I dislike the sexual repression in the west (from which I unconsciously still suffer). But I’m still worried about other boys :)

Until your daughter comes home with a boyfriend with a fucked up sense of what sex is and ruins her day/week/month/year/life.
I’m certainly not pro government tracking anything I do, let alone porn watching, but if I see how my own kids get exposed to it through friends. No matter how much I try to educate them, friends still show them absolute vile stuff…
I mean, it’s almost Monday again, have to find a reason to get a long weekend no?
It’s interesting that cheerleaders still dress like that in Japan imo. Habits are hard to change, especially in the land of the rising sun :)
National fashion became very conservative in the past 10-15 years. Like almost not even a bare shoulder conservative. Skirts also became much longer in recent times. The ultra mini skirts that Japan was famous for are also on their way out. The whole legging craze that hit the rest of the world never even made it to Japan.
Just let the cheerleaders wear more clothes?
Time to go touch some grass mate :)
Egypt is lowest on the rape list. There is a huge stigma to report a rape in Egypt. From what I gather, nobody trusts the Egyptian numbers.
My gut tells me the situation is similar in both Armenistan and Turkmenistan. Punishment for rape might be severe, but very likely the social pressure on the victims is also immense.
Big difference between reported rape and actual rape.
That being said, I hope for Turkmenistan and Armenia these numbers are for actual rape, good on them if it’s low.
Because the entire language is a fucking exception
“their country”
Interesting article image :) Lemmy glitch? Or bbc glitch?

Watch alone 2usd? Watch together with the sign writer 10usd? I mean, the more the merrier I guess?
Or am I misunderstanding this?
Yup, I know. So until Firefox has native lvl gestures, I won’t switch :)
Nope. Doesn’t allow gestures on internal pages. Eg new tabs, menu, settings, etc… It doesn’t work in the entire browser
The day Firefox gets native mouse gestures is the day I swap. Until then will continue to be a very happy Vivaldi user.
He certainly tries to be correct and research his stuff. I would argue his stuff is just as reliable as most well regarded science communicators
Same for c, but at half the scale tbh. (with a bit of a stretch to the imagination)
50 is very hot. 0 is cold. 25c is perfect.
I know he’s been trying for a few years at least and he still hasn’t caught it. I don’t have high hopes for him.
Guess we lost some nuance over the internet.
My whole point is that Japan is so often portrayed as this ideal country and this ultra respectful society. Mainly by people that know Japan through an anime obsession and maaaaybe one visit to the country. In reality Japan is a very flawed country with many very serious issues. But the internet (and especially reddit/lemmy) has a hard-on for the country for some reason.
I work for a large eu government agency. Why the hell they still insist that we promote our workings on Twitter completely eludes me. It does not make any sense whatsoever. They should get off and stop promoting that cesspool. Go to any of the myriad of competitors or just go back to Facebook and Instagram…
