What you call an algorithm here is a recommendation engine. I don’t see why they should avoid having something like that. Ideally they would have a modular system, so you could plug in your own favorite third-party engine.

If you think search engine giants like Google can’t track you when you’re not logged in, you think wrong.
There have already been projects like that in the cryptocurrency space.

If you simply search for “N100”, sort by price and scroll down a bit, you will find quite a lot of entries for that board.

How relevant is this?
I own a Chuwi Larkbox X (another N100 device) and I can’t tell it to boot up after a power failure in the BIOS. So that is another thing to keep in mind.
Part of the Fediverse is instance owners being able to decide with whom they federate. I fail to see the issue.
