Still no lemmy ads 😔
Would love to see some lemmy advertising there.
I don’t see much protest anymore on the subreddits I’m subscribed to. Just feels like it is overall more quiet than before.
I only visit from time to time to check if there are interesting links shared. If so I share this link here on Lemmy.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll check them out.
IIRC it was partially “Windows only” and so not usable for me.
I would love to use one, but to be honest, I have not found one that I trust, so far.
The perfect “password manager” would require 2FA, has some kind of “online backup” (cloud) that I can host myself and has to be open source. So far nothing really seems to offer all this.
If the game does not need online features, then you can make any game “ad free” with an app like “NetGuard”. Just block the app from accessing the internet.
I think this would make working with the text incredibly difficult. Do you know about “privacy foils”? They limit the viewing angle and make it more difficult for other people to read your screen.
Lawnchair. But get it from GitHub or F-Droid.
This or any of the other instances.
He doesn’t want to work on a Lemmy app because he doesn’t use that platform. So even after all this he wants to continue using Reddit? Learned nothing, I guess.
It is new to Pixel. Unfortunately only a few (mostly expensive) phones have display support on the USB C port. For example the more expensive Samsung phones have it.
I used to use this feature a lot on my Samsung S5. Was super handy to just carry the adapter cable in my suitcase when staying at a hotel. Easy way to watch streams in my hotel room. Almost any TV in hotels has a free HDMI port to connect to.
Lawnchair Launcher. But the version they have on GitHub.
I would use Pixel Launcher if it was possible to remove this silly, oversized, search box from the home screen.
If it is open source, then I’ll test it for sure.
And now they just have to force manufacturers to either at least security patch devices for, let’s say 10 years, or force them to open source everything the community needs to continue supporting this device. It never happened to me that the battery died before support ended.
Just had that issue with my Pixel 3a XL. No more security updates. Had to replace it with a Pixel 6a but I liked the 3a XL more. It there was any community support for the 3a XL, I would rather sell my 6a again.
I second this, too. I always prefer Open Source apps.
Actually it would be better if more people would start to do so, ignoring that it gets censored. If the whole thing ends with just an empty canvas would be way better than giving up now.
