It usually works for me.

I can think of a couple. For events like the NFL or some expo where you want a bunch of different topic discussion threads all at the same time. But even then, it would very limited.

That whole password stuff would at minimum make me change my subscription. That multi-screen plan is way too expensive to not be able to use it away from home.

I wonder how many people downgraded though. I’m sorry, but even if I’m using their premium 4 screen plan in one household, I want the option to take it with me or let someone in another house watch something without hassle.

I personally canceled when they got rid of the cheapest option and replaced it with an ad option and a way more expensive base ad-free option. They also auto enrolled me into the premium package as the “closest” to their old cheapest plan.

Fuck em. I’ll enroll for a month when the next Sandman comes out and that’s probably it.

Just a few days ago, the Reddit talk had already died down. With the mass exodus, it will be talked about for a bit before it dies down again.

Imo, that’s good engagement. It’s what people are going through. There’s no reason to ignore it. Just as long as they don’t keep talking about it a month from now.

Just curious. How much are these subscriptions? I can’t imagine they’re reasonably priced.

I’ve heard a lot of fruits have high nutritional value in the parts people don’t eat (like banana peels). But I’m also not a sociopath.

Here’s to hoping all the narcissistic types who lash out at anything that even slightly inconveniences them (cough Reddit protests cough) stay there.

I don’t feel dirty. Just sad for the people still over there. At this point I just log in once a day to vote for protest supporter and see what the status is. Then come back to here and Mastadon.

Some of my favorite subs over have gone full toxic and have completely removed my desire to go there. Just total hatred toward being inconvenienced, which is sad on its own that people are so desperate to be submissive. Not understanding that the only reason the protests failed was because they already decided (and then therefore invested in) the protest failing.

Other subs are still voting overwhelmingly to protest in any way possible. But the amount of gaslighting by shills (possible astroturfing) is wild. Every sub has tons of people saying “nobody cares” despite people voting otherwise.

The number of people who died was newsworthy. The fact people have become so desensitized to migrant deaths is just more reason to cover it.
