I highly recommend this podcast. He does a great job of differentiating what the different authors say and what are his own opinions. And he adds corrections to the episode when listeners point out his mistakes. The French, Haitian, 1848, and Russian revolutions really changed how I see the world. Be warned, they can hit dozens of episodes each.

The American and English civil war are OK, not Duncan’s fault, it’s just the non Anglo revolutions were better material IMO.

You understand there is no such thing as a median voter. They are only issues and most voters have one or two issues they won’t compromise on. Biden is alienating younger and Muslim voters. If Biden was converting 1+ Trump voter for every voter he loses, you might have a point. But there is no evidence he is netting votes from this. That makes no sense in an election that’s fighting against authoritarianism.

Why can’t we agree Biden that needs to go all out to win this thing?

Biden should have focused American businesses that hired illegals, not punishing migrants for wanting a better life. Trump along with many GOP donors have hired illegals in the past, go after them and you win the debate.

Bibi was elected as Mr. Security and Israelis are pissed because he allowed the biggest terror attack under his watch. I’m not saying Israel will fundamentally change, but it’s very normal for voters to dump ineffective leaders and Bibi is bad for the security of Israel.

Biden could have stopped this conflict and got all the hostages released back in October if he temporarily withheld arms from Bibi. But he’d rather infantilize Israel with his bear hug policy. He can’t fathom it’s a government of ultra right individuals assembled to protect Bibi from corruption charges.

Coalition governments are totally different than a two party system in the USA. There are over a dozen parties with in Israel, Netenyahu needed to form a coalition with ultra-nationalist to win. Each of these parties have to be kept happy else the coalition falls apart.

They aren’t being attacked for what they said, they are being slandered as terrorists sympathizers by a media and public that has not interest in critical thinking.
