      It works if the way you say “eighty” has the T softened, so you would sound like you’re saying the letters “A D”.

      So 80 HD becomes ADHD.

      It took me a moment too, since any pun based on diction assumes that some words and sounds have smooshed together in the audience as much as it has to the speaker. And the T in eighty still firmly sounds like a T to me if I say it, and it might for you too.
