    The 14 year old is the one who shot his sister. The attempted murder charge is for shooting him in response and the tampering with evidence is for throwing his gun away. Hence: littering.

      Yeah, i figured that out and edited my comment. But no, throwing away a weapon you just shot someone with is not considered merely littering. Why would he think he could cover that up by tossing his gun? Tell the cops the kid shot himself I guess but that wouldn’t pass ballistic evidence.

        I don’t think he did, I was just making a joke. That said, I personally would not carry around a gun after shooting someone with the police after me. That’s a fine way to get yourself killed.

          The most responsible thing to do at that point would be to stash the gun somewhere in the house, not leave, and wait for police to arrive. But I can see why he would be freaking out. And of course, who knows what would happen when the police arrive.

        He’s 15, just shot his little brother, saw his sister die and is freaking the fuck out.

        But yeah, he should have been better at pondering the ramifications of his actions 🧐
