Y’know, assault is generally defined as causing a person to fear for their safety. What these cops were doing was absolutely assault, bumping into someone’s shoulder is not. Plus it kinda looks like a football play the aide, Freeland and the cop were playing.

      Maybe his history of being arrested by police at other political events played a part in heightened tensions here. Not saying being an intolerable asshole warrants automatic arrest.

      Yeah I ain’t real familiar with him, but that’s irrelevant. This is straight up media intimidation, and the way that aide got out of the way so the cop could do his this thing leads to thoughts of co-ordination. If he was any real threat they wouldn’t have hung out 50 feet away waiting, they’re apparently her security detail.

          They never have to do this to CBC journalists, cause they don’t ask any questions at all.
