Honestly, I kind of think my country (France) forbids weed today because of all the bullshit of the Reagan era and it’s pretty infuriating.
Their depiction of weed as some super dangerous class 3000 hardcore drug ended up as some kind of standard for most of the developed countries.
It sucks.
It’s just bewildering to prohibit a plant that is easy to grow, serves a lot of uses, and doesn’t easily get you killed.
I’m also in Europe, and still trying to cope with the fact that I got into trouble with the law for tending a garden. Well I guess at least it re-radicalized me for all it’s worth.
considering how much French society despises US policy, I’m kind of amazed that France is still prohibitionist - that really does suck mate.

Do you have any source besides “trust me bro”? The Wikipedia article you linked does not mention marijuana anywhere.
I have seen people experience strong withdrawal symptoms when they quit vaping THC. Shakes, massive irritability, sweating, etc. It’s minor compared to opium or alcohol withdrawal, but it looks very unpleasant as an outside observer.
The article you linked mentions it isn’t a recognized syndrome.
*Edit: That’s not to say I disagree it exists; I’ve even felt similar things for a few days after stopping cannabis use. But if the scientific jury is out then it should probably be disclosed that this is the case.

No, he’s just got a host of issues. For some people, weed just exasperates that, and he’s one of them.
