or we could eat plants. Just sayin’
i know man, was just reposting. i would rather eat typical fish, before going straight veg
The problem with that is, that if we over fish the sea, and we kill the ocean, we die. We NEED the ocean to live, as that’s where the majority of our oxygen comes from.
we can always rely on cultivated fish…just like poultry, while avoiding harming ocean life. at least less emitted methane gas, and spreading less antibiotic resistant bacterial strains when abusing antibiotic use
or we could just eat plants. If only you knew what goes into farmed fish. They’re full of bacteria and grottiness.

Can’t watch it with sound right now, but that dude has some serious Klaus Schwab vibes.
he doesn’t also look to be in good shape 😂
Software developers everywhere rejoice
Those poor bugs :(
shrimps: always have been
Well, technically those are crustaceans.
Bugs are technically crustaceans, because phylogenetics is fucked up.
Bugs are technically crustaceans
I’m not sure why that would be.
Generally bugs is a colloquial name and has no specific meaning in taxonomy.
Unless you mean “true bugs” from the order Hemiptera, which are definitely insects.
All hexapods are considered crustaceans.
mh … from my understanding “crustacean” are in the phylum “Crustacea”, which doesn’t include hexapods. You’re thinking of the clade “Pancrustacea”.
I’m talking about phylogeny, not taxonomy.

Fuck the fucking fuck right off with that fucking shite.
I have limited time on this earth and I am not spending a second of that intentionally eating bloody insects. Jesus fuck.
but they r pushing the LiMitS bro!
I’ve eaten insects several times and, with one exception, they tasted fine once you got over the ick factor.
Longicorn beetle larvae and grasshoppers tasted nutty, like pecans.
Ants tasted citrusy, probably because of the formic acid.
The only one I didn’t like was giant water bug, because it had a juniper taste to it and I don’t like that particular taste.
people are afraid of parasitic larvae and eggs. but once healthy safety, taste and apperance are controlled and industrialized properly, insects could be an interesting alternative. no more eating those beautiful shrimps, fished with gas guzzling fishing boats, and no more methane emitting cows
That’s the thing I find baffling and why I had no problem with insects. People eat shrimp. People go out of their way to eat crab and lobster. What’s the big difference other than one being in water and the other being on land? Size?
yea man, its sad. also half the mass of a fished crab lies in the shell, such a waste and a crime to kill such a beautiful creature. A creature that lays eggs in the thousands and doesnt require much energy to fish around would be the best and most climate friendly source for nutrients
I’m okay, thanks!
