Joran van der Sloot allegedly struck a deal to plead guilty to involvement in an extortion plot and tell what he knows about the Alabama teenager’s disappearance and death in Aruba in 2005.
I wouldn’t trust what he will admit as part of the plea deal. He’s been dishonest for years, why would he change now?
Correct me if I’m wrong here - this doesn’t mean he’s guilty of her murder, right? Just that he’s guilty of involvement in an extortion plot.
Of note, the text of the article says $250,000; the video says $25,000. Video also says that there won’t be any further search for her remains. When the reporter asked the attorney why not, his response indicates that there is a specific reason which will become evident in court, and that her mother will speak immediately after the case is finished.
