I’ve only just realised that with the way federation works, each user effectively represents their instance and it’s community. Now I know to not give anyone at fanaticus.social any attention.
Eh, this is a brand new account. I don’t know anything about the instance but I wouldn’t hold a ban dodger against them.
Um no?
Why would you assume a random user account on a site represents that site?
The young blood claws for its right to exist as the old blood imposes its will upon the world.
It seems highly unlikely that a 12-year-old girl could have entered such a strictly regulated country without assistance. Those accepting this scenario might be misinformed and fooled at the same time
If my kid told me they wanted to interrupt this farce I’d buy the plane tickets for them

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):
Why don’t we all strap bombs to our chest and ride our bikes to the next G7 picnic?
Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.
I’m open-source; check me out at GitHub.
I like that this isn’t reddit, and that your account and comment won’t be deleted for this comment.
Not that I’m going to say that I agree with you.
That is highly dependant on the moderators. Lemmy isn’t immune to power tripping moderators, and ever since most people from Reddit came to Lemmy, Lemmy has been on a decline. Not in terms of content amount, but in terms of content quality and overall “niceness.”
Nor powertripping schizo downvoters. Plenty of those too unfortunately
Mods have already deleted it.

Still visible for me.
Kbin and Lemmy don’t sync deleted posts very well. If you go to the original instance you’ll see it’s gone.
I mean, the feds still read this and know who you are. Probably wise not to explicitly endorse assassinations.
Explicitly.
You’re saying this 12 year old didn’t run away from home, travel from India to UAE alone without proper visa/passport, and then sneak into this UN event with the sign hidden in her socks? Shit, thank God you’re here to clarify that.
Of course she had support from her parents and someone who was able to get her in the door. Most effective acts of protest are heavily organized. That doesn’t detract from anything.
Has anyone even suggested that?
I don’t really get the point you’re making?
