      Idk the one on the floor started grabbing socks one day and the one on the bed we got a year later and learned to grab socks from him.

      I have no basis in science for it but Im convinced dogs like our socks and shoes because that’s what they are closest to when smelling their owner. So the smell of us is on the socks and shoes and gives them comfort.

    Your dogs are adorable! But this gives me so much anxiety. I worked for years at the vet and saw soooo many dogs go through surgery to remove foreign bodies such as socks :(

    Cats prefer more stringy stuff, btw.

      They don’t pull and bite the socks they usually just grab it from my feet and carry it around like a child.

      My dog ate a sock and I had to pay $7000 for an emergency surgery. Seeing this gives me anxiety as well.
