What’s the difference between v7a and v8a?
It’s the CPU architecture the app was compiled for. The biggest difference is that ARMv7 is 32 bits, and ARMv8 is 64 bits.
I’m going to join the gang of dark mode is too dark.
I see that it splits the comments in half, so maybe if it is possible to add a grey mode that looks like the old dark mode, both sides could be happy.
I use dark mode as much as possible, but this dark mode is migraine inducing to me due to the white on black colorscheme.We’ll add back the grey mode
Please allow users to choose, I really like the current dark theme. Maybe allow users to change all the colors, not just the accent?
Yay! I picked Liftoff because it was so much better looking than all those other harsh black apps. This is very happy news to wake up to 🥳
will there be a fix for the sorting in our profiles not working? if you click sort by new, it does nothing :/

Was the button to save posts removed? I figured out you can swipe to save, but it’s pretty cumbersome on long posts like this one
Yes, sorry about that. We pushed out 0.10.9 to address this.
especially since the new swipe favorite option is buggy. often it takes countless trys till it then works sometime. too with unfavorite.

I wish there was some spacing in-between posts though. It feels like they blend in together a little.
Edit: turning off card shadow in compact mode helps a lot
Yeah turning off shadow is great. I should have updated the default. Light mode needs the shadows
can you describe how “redgif” support is supposed to work? For me, it still forces me to open redgif in-browser.
Redgifs has a nightmare of an API. In my testing only 2 out of 10 worked. We’re waiting on a dedicated API token from them

Thanks for the update but honestly dark mode is way too dark now. Liftoff had the easiest on the eye dark mode before this so it’s disappointing to see it look like the official reddit app now.
Please can we have an option to bring it back?

I cannot emphasize how important this is for my eyes, the sooner you guys can bring this back the better.
BTW, can you provide more info on “compact view to be more compact”. What exactly changed? I have the feeling that the space within posts has been reduced but I am not sure. If that is the case then I preferred to have a more clear separation within posts (already disabled the shadow).
I agree with this guy, I’ve loved every update so far but this one is too dark. It adds too much contrast which makes it harsh on the eyes.
Hey, not sure if this is the case for others but the second tab (I think it’s meant to be subbed communities) is broken and has been for awhile now. Something about a null something or other. Will edit to add the correct error in a sec.
App looks great otherwise though I do agree about it being a bit dark. Someone suggested a grey mode in the colour of the old dark mode and I would love that
E: error is “null check operator used on null value”
This is a lingering error with the forced logout that some instances did. You can remove and re add your account and it will be fixed or you can wait a few days and we’ll get it fixed.
I’ve logged out and back in twice and the issue is persisting. I don’t mind waiting but thought it would be good for you to know.
I logged in and out several times but was still getting the error. Then it randomly decided to work.
It seems there was an account I had not logged in and out of, once I logged out all my accounts once it worked. I thought that it would only pull up my main account subscriptions, not all of them
