I get what you are saying.
You are saying that people are part of the problem if they are bystanders to harm. The second part of what you are saying is that you shouldn’t start gossiping about something you do not know enough about. It seems to me you are trying to say that you should be careful to speak the bare truth and to not assume or exaggerate in any way.
Sounds like a shower thought. I’m not sure why people are getting bent out of shape. Give this dude a break.
I’m often for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but the “keep your dumb mouth shut” part makes me feel like this is less of a shower thought and more of a “I didn’t know where to complain” thought.
