I’ve been banned because something glitched and posted my comment 10 times instead of once, without my knowledge, so I’ve been banned for spamming.

I haven’t had any posts or comments removed on Reddit or Lemmy…
It depends on the instance, a lot of the old tankie and russian troll mods from Reddit have tried to setup shop on Lemmy, yes, but it’s difficult for them to have the same outsized influence since they can’t just back channel to the admins to get people banned, like on reddit. Their power ends where their instance ends, sometimes even just their community.
Also, there’s a mod log here which is cool, and the ability to block whole communities or instances. It’s more difficult to hide trends in censorious behaviour in any given community.
Idk so far I’ve only been banned from 196 for checks notes calling Hamas and Israel murders who equally don’t care about Palestinian casualties.
You got banned for starting fights with vegans too. I lol’ed at 196 banning you for being a “fuckass” though; only 18 months or so before that expires
Actually they banned me because I told them they would be better off focusing their energy on harm reduction. Rather than protesting for the complete abolition of farming. Sensible stuff like developing better meat substitutes rather then calling people who drink milk rapists and murderers… As far as I’m aware, like 90% of the people that eat meat would prefer there to be minimal and or no suffering at all. I mean from a purely selfish point, the less stress in the animal the better. The meat is going to taste better the better the animal lives, stress, hormones, taste like shit.
I’m considering this one more of a trophy than a ban though as their only other recourse was just to keep calling me a rapist murderer.
