The Mexican president on Thursday rejected a request from Ukraine’s government to arrest Vladimir Putin if the Russian leader defies an international arrest warrant and attends the inauguration of Mexico’s next president in October.

“We can’t do that,” President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador told reporters at a regular government press conference.

“We can’t do that,” President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador told reporters at a regular government press conference.

    “It’s not up to us.”

You are a member state. You signed the Rome Accord. The fuck you can’t. It’s your responsibility and not doing so makes you complicit in destroying world peace further.

The US is not a member of the ICC. Their arrest warrant on Putin has fuck all to do with the US. And besides, under no circumstances would the US desire the arrest of Putin. We won’t even allow Zelensky to use US-provided munitions to target Russian airfields; you think we’d risk nuclear retaliation by arresting their president??

I get that you didn’t put much thought into this post, but god damn. That space between your ears isn’t just free real estate.

Why would Putin go to the inauguration of a random president? He didn’t go to the inauguration of their best pals in Iran, I can’t see why he would go that far in Mexico for no reason. What Mexico puts on the table for him? Weapons? Drones? Large orders of oil/gas? Otherwise it’s a waste of time for the little dictator.

How would he even get there? He’d probably have to fly south to Turkey then over northern Africa to get there, to make sure he didn’t fly over any country that might force his plane down, or land to refuel in any country that might not let him take off again.

    They can’t.

The Cartels though… I’m sure CIA would give some discounts on guns, hell maybe even a prisoner swap if they had Putin…

Honestly, this would be a good move by the CIA. Let them fight each other, unless it backfires and they join forces…

Best case scenario is it backfires. What do you think they are going to do with the weapons/money you supply them for capturing him?
