MOSCOW, May 15 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russian forces were improving their positions every day along the front in Ukraine in all directions and that the advance was going to plan.
I have been repeatedly informed that the Three Day Special Military Operation is going according to plan.
While I am certain that Putin would not lie about the TDSMO going according to plan, and am sure that this is all part of The Plan, I am starting to wonder about the actual merits of his plan.
At this rate, Russia is on target to take the “inept military” meme crown away from France (I am fully aware they have perhaps the most capable military in Europe these days - I’m just referring to the Maginot Line related memes that have been around since WW2).
WW3 is more likely to happen if Russia wins. If we show our bellies to Russia, China would move on Taiwan. If Ukraine wins, we kill two birds with one drone.
If Ukraine had fallen, China would have pushed a blockade on Taiwan, the domestic pressure on Xi would have been insurmountable, especially after our mess in Afghanistan.
Zelensky had the clutch save, if he took that ride things would have gotten dark.
