    Shows the interesting power of cultural context and perspective. Like how alcohol and its consumption is incredibly normalised and accepted despite the fact it’s literally poison and kills over 100,000 people each year in the US alone.

    Why would this be sketchy? If someone offered me a caffeine pill i would gladly take it, just like i would a shot of espresso. Its not even that its in pill form because you’d apparently be fine taking other pills from that person, but you draw the line at caffeine?

    Because drugs are bad mmmkay?

    And drugs are defined by tv shows. Drugs are pills.

    Also, talk about drugs anywhere and you’ll encounter 40-somethings with an unreasonable hatred of drugs. They get crazy. That’s the “just say no” propaganda talking. It was pushed in the schools in the 80s, and we still hear the echoes.

    It’s a testament to the power of media and propaganda.

    I would think this is pretty obvious since the majority of people don’t take caffeine in pill form and have no experience with it…
