I quit using Opera when it became just another Chromium fork, and never looked back. It seems like that was an excellent decision, lol.
she/her, queer anarchist and enjoyer of video games, books, music, cool maps, history, cats, and probably other things. También busco una comunidad aparte de reddit en la que pueda practicar mi español. ¡Dígame!

Don’t worry, us native speakers do too.
What an asinine comment that displays a complete lack of understanding of the history of the situation.
Not only impunity, but the full support of the governments of the West.
a.k.a. the bastion of conservativism.
Do No Harm bills itself as a group of doctors who are concerned about ideology influencing the medical profession.
And yet they’re doing exactly that?? Conservatives really are either some of the least self-aware people on the planet, or conservativism is a giant fucking sham, and I think I know which one it is.
As an aside, the parallels between how Israel has treated Palestinians, and how the US has treated Native Americans is uncomfortable.
Which is even more ironic when you realise that that’s exactly where a certain mustachioed German dictator got his ideas from.
It’s one banana, Michael. What could it cost, $10?
Go back to Reddit bud, most of us don’t want shitty attitudes around here.
Can’t we leave this kinda shit on Reddit? As long as you get you point across, and are understood, what does it matter? Languages are all arbitrary and made up anyway.
I’ve got high hopes for Lemmy, and the Fediverse in general. Voat’s issue was it was a haven for fascists and fascist sympathizers, and a centralized site made that the general vibe. The federated model makes it so they can do what they want in their own little corner of shit, and the rest of us can ignore them like they deserve.
uncorrupted government
Impossible, because that’s an oxymoron.
I’ve been using Kiwi as my daily driver on Android since, and I must say, I’m a big fan! Being able to have any extension has been fantastic. The biggest thing I’m missing from Firefox, is the integrated reader mode button. Trying to read any article on the modern Internet, without a reader mode, is an absolute nightmare. I’ve been using Article Reader, and Google’s Android-wide Reader view app as replacements, as I couldn’t find a Chrome extension that worked well enough in Kiwi, and while they’re not nearly as seamless, they’ve served their purpose. Thanks again for the rec!
And? I didn’t mention restic, nor did the person I was replying to. I was under the impression we were both talking about software being rewritten in Rust in general.
Use fd
instead of find
, or rg
instead of grep
and tell me there’s no gain. The speed increase alone is astounding, and beyond worth it.
Imagine a world where we’re all using 30 year old software because it “still kinda works”.
On that note, Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff, hosted by Margaret Killjoy, is a good counterbalance to Behind the Bastards.
That’s not my favourite, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I used Chrome for a long time on desktop. Thanks for the info, though! I’m going to give it a shot for a few days, and see if I can live without tab syncing.
I love that they have bottom URL bar as an option though! One of my favourite additions to Firefox Mobile. Will make the switch a whole lot more comfortable. Thanks, god! 😂
TIL about Kiwi Browser, thanks for this, I think I could like this a lot. Firefox’s mobile extension support is extremely limited, so this is a breath of fresh air.
Well, then, have a nap!
