You’re in good company. The same thing happened to me and my posts. Also happened to Picard M. We both had our posts removed and is banned for reasons we couldn’t figure out. I ended up making a second account to ask that instance why my posts weren’t able to be seen. Then the same admin (the one who banned us and removed the posts) then contacted us to try to elaborate but has no real answer. Started giving reasons for removal that made no sense within reality, nevermind their insanely vague rules.

The mods and admins are way too inconsistent over there. They do what they want, they don’t enforce. It’s exactly why I outright left lemmy.ml and don’t bother to engage with them anymore. It’s not consistent enough to know what to do and what not to do.

They wanna act like petulant children and throw shit at the walls then they can do so on their own.

The only reason I haven’t commented in this thread is because everyone else has said what i’ve been thinking. That while this is confusing Americans, it’s equally as confusing to Canadians. Who the fuck does that?!

Alternatively, most people don’t want to hear about such things in music because it’s an escape for them. When I’m listening to music its because I want to zone out and forget the world. Often because I’m stressed or overwhelmed. I can relax to the music and drift off.

Every other part of the world is enraged about social issues. Social media, news, TV and movies, advertising, politics, idle chit chat, even the products you buy when they have banners and shit on them. Art can be used to heighten social issues but it’s also used just as frequently to hide away from them and give yourself a reprieve from the storm.

I have literally never had that site work as intended. The search never completes and the video either stutters or has to be restarted a half dozen times before it starts.

YouTube is ass but I’ve yet to see anything about Piped that demonstrates how it’s any better.

Eh. Yahtzee hasn’t sounded the same for years and I hoped this switch would change that. It didn’t. Lords of the Fallen he sounded like he had no energy and this is better but not by much. He just sounds so tired of doing this. I don’t blame him. New content every week with the same angry energy is a lot to keep up but he stopped being a reviewer using anger as his gimmick and just slid down into insults = review. Same as CinemaSins. Really sad to see.

I mean… Sites with no moderation turn right wing because there’s no one around to make them think about people other than themselves. The moderation is required because right wingers often actively promote the denial of rights to people opposed to them, often claiming that the opposition isn’t “real” because they’re paid or sponsored, because right wingers are typically shitty people.
