Yes. All devices connected to the VPN will have a private IP inside the virtual network. You can use these to communicate as though they were public IPs, except that they can’t be used from outside the VPN.
Unfortunately, the only way I could find to do this in Liftoff! is by going to Settings > Accounts and deleting each local account by long pressing on it, and then create it again.
Thanks! This is what I did and it worked fine.
Yes, you can connect the device behind CGNAT to your existing VPN as a client. Then, from inside the VPN, you would use the its virtual address to connect to it. You can use a systemd service or similar to have the VPN connect at boot.
Perfect! I like the fact that you’re showing the error, so I can know exactly what went wrong, whether it’s likely on my side or the server’s.
I was skeptical at first, but it’s great! It properly parses repos, it shows you a preview of where you’re about to download from, and if there are multiple assets in a release it lets you pick the right one. And then it does auto-updates just like an F-Droid client!
I’ve seen developers of some other clients think that they wouldn’t be able to work even with a paid subscription. Are there other examples apart from Infinity of clients that will remain available with a subscription?
I can recommend Navidrome as a server. I’ve had great experience with it.
Looks great! I’m going to try it out soon!
One thing to note: Play Protect currently doesn’t like your app and shows a warning when trying to install it. This might put off some users.
And a question: Do you have any plans to support multiple severs?
Thanks for your work!
Hey, thanks for suggesting pkgsrc! Do you have any experience using it on systems where you don’t have root access, i.e. you need to install software in your home directory? Is it a good fit for such scenarios?
Yes, I think that’s it. Their website really don’t make it easy to figure out…
