Every time I raise the issue with Proof-of-Work coins being damaging to the environment I get a flood of hate. Proof-of-Stake coins might have other problems, but at least they consume 100s of times less power. I’m sure we could even come up with something better if the crypto bros stopped circlejerking.

Where I live, the victim needs to send the bill for their physical treatment to the insurance company of the person driving the car. It is required by law to pay it (with some help of a government fund) if there is an official insurance claim. After that it’s up to the victim to decide whether or not they sue for more, and the insurance company whether or not they want to get their money back because they think the driver was endangering others (mostly trough court).

This makes it so:

• the victim will ALWAYS be reimbursed for physical treatment
• the victim can’t scam for profit
• the victim can still sue if needed

It is still possible to fake hospital bills and stuff, but then it becomes fraud which can get you in jail. And it most likely wouldn’t even work.

I find it weird that it is even possible to make money off this stuff in some countries.

In my country there are a few private schools but employers don’t care for them. They need to follow the official curriculum and the students will have to do the same official tests at the end of the year.

That CEO’s company made $22 billion in profit or something. Put just $1 billion of that in lobbying and you got a whole army of people manipulating the results in favor of the current status quo, and you’ll have your $21 billion instead of $0.
