his response to his employee using a rival service seems strange to me. like, this guy’s whole business is based on people being uncomfortable quitting in person / by themselves, but when one of his own employees feels that way, his response is to say it’s better to quit in person? what?
I didn’t take it as him saying it was wrong that his employee did that, more so that he isn’t part of the “old guard” of Japan that would have looked down on his employee for quitting. Basically saying that the employee didn’t need to use a service.
