Someone should tell Retsuko about this kind of service.
And ruin a good show? Ha!
I couldn’t read it. Paragraphs please!
Nearly half of Guardian’s clients are women.
Another way of saying, ‘less than half of the clients are women’
More of a way to show that women are disproportionately using their services? Because employment rate for women in Japan is lower than males I think. An interesting insight.
That doesn’t imply the same thing though. “Less than half” could mean 10% and probably means significantly less than half but “nearly half” probably means between 40% and 50%.
I agree, less than half can mean nearly anything less than half.
It’s a bad choice of words for that reason alone, too open to interpretation.
Nearly half is more constricted and reasonably really close to half to interpret.
Imagine never getting to expres your opinion in school. That’s just sad.
his response to his employee using a rival service seems strange to me. like, this guy’s whole business is based on people being uncomfortable quitting in person / by themselves, but when one of his own employees feels that way, his response is to say it’s better to quit in person? what?
I didn’t take it as him saying it was wrong that his employee did that, more so that he isn’t part of the “old guard” of Japan that would have looked down on his employee for quitting. Basically saying that the employee didn’t need to use a service.
Wow, I would have a hard time quitting my job but this sounds incredibly difficult.
there’s nothing quite like the joy of telling a cunt manager that you’re leaving. And that joy is free too.
