      If you make a post and tag @fediverse@lemmy.world it should post the first line as the title. If you include a link, I think it will post it as a link too.

      Edit: found the issue, it looks like links aren’t supported but it uses the first part of a post as the title.

        Is there a guide or tutorial or just someone with spare time who can explain how and why it works that way?

          It works this way because Mastodon and Lemmy both implement ActivityPub.

          When you mention a Lemmy community from a Mastodon post, this post is sent to the Lemmy server you mentioned and treated as a new post in the community by Lemmy.

          Then, when people reply from their Lemmy client, these comments are also visible to on the OP’s Mastodon server.
