I don’t understand why this is suddenly huge news everywhere I look. I’m not even from that country, but I see it in my own local news feeds, haha.
Some guy somewhere makes a stupid decision at a minor court appearance, yup, people are stupid, these things happen. Why journalists around the world are wasting time on it when there’s real news to report on I’ll never know…
If they cannot report on things like this, you might wonder why they don’t report on important things like inequality, disappearing workers rights, etc, etc.
To be 100% fair, if you have only heard “DNA” and never seen it, you could be forgiven for wondering if it’s “D&A” or “D and A” like the reverse of “A&D Ointment.” But that’s the kind of thing that usually gets cleared up in 3rd grade.
I once stood up in 7th grade math and insisted that 20 plus 20 was 50. In front of the whole class. The only thing that got through to me was the value of a quarter and how many quarters makes 50 cents.
I think that about local news here whenever I happen to see it. Half of it is fear mongering, the other half is pointless shit that really has no bearing on anything. “Local” news is generally a joke, with few stations actually having journalists who want to actually do something productive.

Probably because it’s amusing.
It’s so incredibly stupid that it’s funny and interesting to people
Cuz that’s how the internet works. If it gets popular in one place it’ll be reposted everywhere, forever.

I don’t know man, this is a special level of stupid.

So anyone got some of those 20 cent coins?

Yes because her stupid question doesn’t have any legal consequences.

Maybe your local people need to be a bit more charismatic and they to could be on the internets!
