Well…it’s beans and no poop, really. Or at least less of it.
Beans, no poop, and plenty of farts.
Well if your unlucky it’s wet farts
There was definitely plenty of poop, just not right away.
In fact, forget the Reddit.
The bacon narwhal stage of platform development.
*protocol development
Lemmy heck yeah !
Ok, whats the deal with the beans?
Ah, beans, the magical fruit.
I’m guessing that it’s the equivalent of Reddit Silver.
These are Lemmy silver 🍋
Beenz was just ahead of its time!
I think it may be the equivalent of narwhals and bacon.
We need an c/outoftheloop here!
They have one!

oh yea. thanks!
There was a post that said “lemmy will upvote anything even beans” with a pic of beans and it got up votes so now lemmy is memeing

So funny yet so true.
Reddit has a storied history of famous memes. Something about the first widely shared, universally recognized meme (can of fucking beans) has made Lemmy finally feel alive to me. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was missing, but now I know.
at this point everything gets upvoted regardless of the content
Baked beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, mung beans… content doesn’t matter.
you know… dem beans.
Haven’t saw any human beans. Yet, at least.
“Most of the successful people in Hollywood are failures as human beans.”
It’s gotta start somewhere (insert shrug here)
And NSFW APIs!
Me, scrolling lemmy on the toilet after eating beans… feeling attacked right now.
You mean without poop
Which is going to be a lot more difficult with the beans. Our memes are colliding! Our worlds are in danger! George is getting upset!
They’re definitely shit posts.
The only thing I miss at this point is the poopknive reference.
Be the change you wish to see in the world. Reference poopknife everywhere.
We should start a “museum of reddit” community, to preserve these important pieces of history.
That’s basically !bestoflemmy
God damnit. I had hoped this place would be more classier.
Would it be classier of a can of beans was wearing a suit or tuxedo?

It was, for about two weeks. Also presumably before that.
The people who left immediately upon hearing about the API pricing were all like “okay, let’s join this other community over here and contribute.” Then the people who left after the blackouts happened were all like “I need a place to shitpost.”
