I didn’t see any reports about the csam material. They didn’t come through. I even check the report log. I checked twice. Sure I didn’t check new posts but I checked this site earlier at 12. I check here frequently. I check here a lot. I always check the reports and I found none so I continued my day.

I don’t know why people feel the need to post things about leaving the community since it is well moderated. They have no reason to leave. There’s tons of good shit posts to be enjoyed here. I check the reports. There wasn’t anything there. I have screen shots which I showed the other mods when they asked about it.

I look at that shield in my screen screen and I saw nothing. You know shit happens. Sometimes you may run into things you don’t like. That doesn’t mean this place is undermoderated. Like I checked the fucking reports like. I don’t appreciate posts encouraging others to leave being made or other mods coming in to make me look inept. I checked the fucking reports dammit.

    Are you saying that nobody generated a report or that the reporting system is deleting reports before you see them?

    This is one of my most favorite /c on Lemmy. I have not seen CSAM since the last lengthy and regrettable CSAM-attack takedown. I have not seen posts about people being encouraged to leave either. So, you are doing great for some of us. Thanks.

    Bro, I get being frustrated about stuff but it’s a single post that’s being wary of CSAM. While I’m with you, as the report thing is bizarre and doesn’t always federate reports properly, I also see where they’re coming from. People stayed away from AskLemmy for a little bit too but they’re coming back now. The content that some people saw was awful and they want to make sure it doesn’t happen again so they’re backing off for a little.

    They’re not making you or other mods look inept. They don’t know what happened. A clarification post like this is useful in alleviating those fears in people but getting angry with those posters for wanting to protect themselves and be upset doesn’t help anyone here.
