Incredible how the Overton window has shifted towards “of course it is ok for governments to control, regulate and censor the Internet”.

Yes, it is indeed possible to “sow discord” on the Internet, e.g. the Arab Spring.

You shouldn’t be allowed to promote violence and hatred without consequence especially with straight up disinformation.

This isn’t an internet thing - it’s an inciting racist violence thing. Kiddie porn isn’t suddenly fair game because you’re on the internet, and rightly so - neither is inciting racial hatred.

If he’d stood in the town square to rally the browncoats, he’d have a higher chance of being held accountable. Pick a better example to plant your flag - consolidation of social platforms like xitter into a state of oligopoly where a handful of people undemocratically set the rules they want via TOS would be a good start.

Did he make cybertrucks “bulletproof” so no one would shoot him in his rat face?

Perhaps these billionaires wouldn’t have to prep for the apocalypse if they stopped trying to cause one!

It can’t even stop a low grain bullet from an AR-15, which is notably one of the most popular rounds in America. People buying these trucks are so gullible.

And why would I even care about a car being bullet proof? I want a spare tire.

that wouldn’t even make sense since the glass was never “bulletproof” and if you’re gonna hit him in the face, you gotta go through the glass.

Just flag Twitter as a hate platform and delist them?

Let Musky deal with explaining why it isn’t and beg, like how Apple set his stupid ass straight.

They should be running their own server where they have complete control over the content. I hate that public entities rely so much on third party services when their own websites get neglected. Like, I went to your website for info, but then find I have to go to Twitter or FB or whatever to find updates. And then Musk rat has a fit in the K hole and blocks stuff or tweaks the interface to mess shit up somehow and poof, it’s gone until he wakes up one of his engineers to fix it.

        In 2022…

Musk launched a provocative Twitter tirade against Apple, and its CEO. Musk claimed that Apple had withdrawn most of its advertising and was threatening to block the platform from its mobile store where iPhone users download apps. Musk said the move was an act to undermine free speech.

Tim cook invited him to their campus. And let’s just say Musk learned at that moment to stfu.

musk…said they “resolved the misunderstanding” over Twitter possibly being removed from the App Store. “Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so,” Musk tweeted.

Sounds like the other way around to me…

Yeah I remember reading at the time that they basically kissed and made up; Musk actually interacted with Tim like a human and was snapped out of his weird manic fit, and Tim told him they were still advertising. That’s it.

Holding wealthy people accountable for their actions is a rare thing, worth treasuring and celebrating, even when it’s just talk. I hope we can all pray that Elon Musk is brought to justice soon.

      Permanently.
