Lets say you want to access !memes@lemmy.ml using your .world account. Do not go to lemmy.ml. Stay on lemmy.world, go to the search bar, filter by communities, and type: !memes@lemmy.ml
Why? You can’t log in to a lemmy.world account from lemmy.ml or any other instance besides .world. You can only access things from other instances using the method described above (although you can subscribe to !memes@lemmy.ml from a .world account and have its content appear on your home feed)
Do keep in mind that Lemmy is still in its early stages, and there will be many new features in the future.
Ironically, I accidentally found the saved part yesterday trying to find something I posted, but that was quite an informative guide! However, apparently something you save via the wefwef save button doesn’t actually save, the button seems just for show. Thought it was a .world bug at first, with the influx of Redditors happening yesterday.
Wefwef has a save button but I don’t know where the saved content goes.
I can see your comment (lemmy.world). Might be a bug, or the influx of new users causing lags in some instances.
Its a bit laggy, but that problem is inherent with webapps.
Yep, wefwef karma seems to be client side. I have it too on my wefwef.
Wefwef is based off of Apollo. Apollo had a karma counter, and so does wefwef.
There is a scientific reason for this. Prepare for minor text wall.
When you fall asleep, your brain erases temporary memory and “closes” permanent memory so that nothing can be stored to it during sleep. This is also the reason you can’t remember what you did a few minutes before falling asleep. Therefore, your dreams are stored in temp memory and you can only remember them for a little bit after waking.
Don’t quote me on this, I found it somewhere, and my somewheres tend to be pretty reliable, but I’m too lazy to fact-check. Feel free to downvote it wrong.
