I disagree. It can be a useful learning point for both parties, especially if you have differing opinions and have good points for them.

not yet, if you want to push yourself a little bit you could create your own community for it

i happen to still mostly use windows media player on windows 10 LTSC, in my opinion it looks better and runs much better than whatever regular windows has nowadays

of course VLC exists too and is mostly superior, but it doesnt have the cool visualisations for music :(

yea, im still hoping that vlemmy’s just having some major technical issues and will come back soon but judging by some evidence (mainly the donation/github pages being deleted), i dont know if that’ll ever happen

well this just happened with vlemmy.net, i was affected by this and had to manually resubscribe to 50 communities and recreate one, because of this someone made a tool to download your data off of lemmy and upload it to another instance https://github.com/CMahaff/lasim

little bit tricky, was only on there for a few weeks but in that time i managed to subscribe to 50 communties and host one, now i gotta redo all of that again which is a minor pain in the ass
